Why are ERGO’s life insurance companies in the Baltic States merged?

The purpose of merging ERGO's life insurance companies is to improve life insurance service, make our business processes more efficient and use the resources and know-how inside the group. We want to make ERGO’s life and health insurance more competitive in the Baltic States by merging the companies into one. We want to be and remain a good and reliable partner for our clients.

Must the insurance contracts entered into before the merger be amended?

All life and health insurance contracts will remain in force as they are, and the change of name also doesn’t require any additional activities. The merger of life insurance companies will not affect the right and obligations of the clients of ERGO Life Insurance SE Eesti filiaal.

Whose account will my life insurance premiums go to after the merger?
In Estonia, the premiums you pay will be received in the bank account of ERGO Life Insurance SE Eesti filiaal. The reserves formed of premiums and other sources will still be invested according to the investment policy of the ERGO Group in carefully selected instruments of various countries (bonds, fund units, equities, etc.). ERGO Life Insurance SE as a whole is responsible for the company’s obligations to its clients.

Did current accounts and bank details change after the merger?
Current accounts and bank details will not change as ERGO Life Insurance SE Eesti filiaal will take them over.

How does ERGO inform its clients and partners of the merger?
ERGO will send a letter to its life and medical insurance and pension clients in January. We also give an explanatory note to new clients in January. We will send e-mail messages to our partners in January. ERGO has also informed policyholders of the merger contract in the official publication Ametlikud Teadaanded.
